My artworks during 2023.
Until I find a template for a set of my drawings that I did in the course of a year, I will post like this, so it will be a long post and I apologize to everyone for that, but here's a little retrospective from last year. I also wish everyone a happy holiday!
Although I already have my retrospective from my post here: https://ducktoonsfanart.tumblr.com/post/738256253962403840/2023-tumblr-top-10
Also here I will respect my drawings that I did during the last year, because after all this is my art blog, while my main blog is here: https://ducklooney.tumblr.com/
Like every year, here I will make a retrospective of my drawings that I did during the previous year as well as my best drawings from last year. Unfortunately, unlike in 2022, I was not forced to post every month because of the jobs I was doing, and I was absent a lot until the end of the year. I still managed to somehow make a Mickey Mouse 100th anniversary jubilee as well as make my own new ideas as well as some gifts for my friends as well as some crossovers. Unbelievable, but I turned to Ducktales 2017 and drew them. However, I stuck to drawing related to Three Caballeros, Darkwing Duck, Duck comics, Duck Avenger, OG Ducktales, Quack Pack, classic shorts, some Looney Tunes stuff and more. Yes, I have changed my drawing style a bit as opposed to 2022 and yes, in addition to Donald Duck and Duckverse, I have also turned to Mickey Mouse and Mouseverse and his friends and I hope to do more in the future during the new year 2024. Also, today is Julian New Year, so once again I wish you a Happy New Year!
As for my main blog, I managed to get over 900 followers, while on this art blog of mine 75 and I hope that I will manage to get over 1000, i.e. over 100 and I hope that in addition to my beloved ducks, I will also turn to others to my favorite things from cartoons, comics, video games, literature, movies and more. All in all, thank you for your support and continue to support me in the future. Thank you all!
And now the results of my drawings, that is, an overview through the year 2023:
January 2023 - Donald Duck with his family and his best friends - Happy New Year and Happy Holidays! - Modern Three Caballeros and Quack Pack - 32 notes (likes, reblogs and comments)
February 2023 - Unfortunately, I didn't publish anything at the time, but I drew Angel Duck (Donald's conscience) from Donald's Better Self related to the tragedy that happened in Syria and Turkey during the earthquake, but I didn't publish until the beginning of November and that on the occasion of the unfortunately bad events in Israel and Palestine, as and tragedy in my country. And I posted it here: https://ducktoonsfanart.tumblr.com/post/733191514056966144/donald-duck-and-his-nephews-as-angels-mourn-the
Angel Duck pleads for the victims - 18 notes
March 2023 - Same unfortunately, but I drew Magica de Spell as Cleopatra, as well as Scrooge as Caesar and Gladstone Gander as Mark Antony and published it only in December, after a few months, related to Duckmber and related to history. Part of my Duckverse in history.
Cleopatra in Duckverse - Magica De Spell as Cleopatra - History in Duckverse - 20 notes
April 2023 - Happy birthday Huey, Dewey and Louie Duck plus Phooey Duck! - Tripletsmania - 32 notes
Admittedly, drawings from 2022, but I still posted about the 85th birthday of Donald's nephews, one of my favorite characters.
Also, April 2023 - Duckverse and Looney Tiny Toons - Huey, Dewey and Louie and Daffy Duck Birthday Easter Party - 23 notes (crossover)
May 2023 - Huey Dewey and Louie Duck - Happy Late Easter!- Disneyland - 23 notes
True, this post was more popular than that one, but it's still a drawing from 2022, while that one was as a gift for my friend, which I didn't post until May. Also see: https://ducktoonsfanart.tumblr.com/post/717339649404747776/happy-mothers-day-duck-family-grandma-duck
June 2023 - I didn't publish anything at the time, but I drew Donald Duck and his friends with his family, mostly their faces and it was related to Donald's birthday. Post in July.
Donald Duck and his family and friends - sketch (Duckverse) - 35 notes
July 2023 - Duck Teenagers - Quack Pack - Six Fanarts - Ducktales-Duckverse characters - 35 notes
August 2023 - Unfortunately I didn't post anything, but that month I drew Donald Duck and Gyro Gearloose with my nephews celebrating Donald's birthday and didn't post until November. See: https://ducktoonsfanart.tumblr.com/post/735189018680115200/donald-duck-celebrates-his-birthday-with-his
Donald Duck celebrates his birthday with his partner Gyro (Donro) and his nephews - 23 notes
September 2023 - Same, except I then drew the Three Caballeros (Donald Duck, Jose Carioca and Panchito Pistoles, also one of my favorite characters) and didn't post until the next month.
The Three Caballeros Together Again! - The Legend of The Three Caballeros - 36 notes
October 2023 - Ducktales Adults in spacesuits on the Moon in space - Ducktales Kids and Teenagers in spacesuits on the Moon in space - Ducktales in Space (AU) - 40 notes
November 2023 - Happy 95th Birthday to Mickey and Minnie Mouse! - Tribute to sci-fi movies and comics (cosplay) - Star Wars and Star Trek - 39 notes
Also, November 2023 - Duckvember - Mother Duck (Ducks) - Duck Family in Quack Pack AU - 37 notes - and related to the 80th birthday of Grandma Duck, one of my favorite characters.
December 2023 - The Quest for Kalevala - Kalevala - Scrooge as Väinämöinen VS Magica as Louhi - Tribute to Don Rosa (Duckverse) - 37 notes
Also December 2023 - The Donald Duck Chronicles - Donald Duck and Goofy in Kingdom Hearts - Crossover Duckverse - The Secret Life of Donald Duck - My Version - 45 notes
And finally my most viewed drawing is:
Once Upon A Studio - Mickey Mouse and Friends - HAPPY 100TH ANNIVERSARY DISNEY STUDIO! - 54 notes
Some things were challenging for me, and some will be yet to come, and yes, what I did not succeed in last year, I will do in this year with even more good challenges and even more good surprises. And indeed in some things I have succeeded, while in others I am just a beginner. I thank everyone for following me and keep following me and there will be more surprises. And thank you all for supporting me! And it won't just be about Disney and Warner Bros.
Once again, happy holidays to everyone and a happy new year 2024!
If you have any impression of what you liked the most and what you didn't like about these drawings, feel free to say so.
Feel free to like and reblog this! And keep following me! :D

Take with a grain of salt.
It's been over a year since DreamWorks rather unceremoniously rolled out a little movie called RUBY GILLMAN, TEENAGE KRAKEN. A movie that unusually was kept under wraps until... 3 1/2 months before release date. Official announcement from the studio, title, synopsis, trailer... All on the same March day, just months before its end of June release...
Now, the movie was briefly talked about unofficially by scooper sites in around 2021/22, and some DreamWorks employees had a MEET THE GILLMANS on their resumes, otherwise... Nada. Usually an animated movie is announced a year or so before its eventual release.
But, it being intended for streaming first and then hastily being bumped up to theatrical release (which has happened to movies from other companies, such as BARBARIAN and SMILE) could explain why DreamWorks just dumped this one. It did get decent reviews and could've been a small success in its own right, had it not been released in such a crowded summer...
It does feel kinda "streaming movie", though. A lowkey little effort, but I think it's cool that Universal and DreamWorks gave it a theatrical release if it was indeed intended to be some Peacock tuck-away. ORION AND THE DARK was a straight-to-Netflix affair, despite being co-written by Charlie Kauffman. I'm sure you'll see more of those every couple of years from DreamWorks. Something that's actually neat, and you wonder... "Why didn't that go to theaters?"
But it begs a question...
Around 2022, it was reported by the Fine Tooning podcast that DreamWorks' game plan going forward was "a sequel and a non-sequel" every calendar year. 2022 was BAD GUYS and LAST WISH, 2024 had KUNG FU PANDA 4 already and we have THE WILD ROBOT around the corner. DOG MAN and BAD GUYS 2 mark 2025, in addition to a TV series adaptation GABBY'S DOLLHOUSE. 2026 only houses SHREK 5 so far, it is unknown what the non-sequel opening that year is. (I've kinda given up on RONAN BOYLE happening. Maybe it's... I dunno... An original movie from LAST WISH/CROODS 2 director Joel Crawford?)
What would've accompanied TROLLS 3 in 2023 if RUBY GILLMAN remained a streaming title? Was THE WILD ROBOT at one point eyeing a spring/summer 2023 debut? 2023 would've been pretty quick for that movie, as director Chris Sanders presumably finished up his CALL OF THE WILD movie for 20th Century Studios in mid-2019. That was supposed to be a Christmas 2019 release, but after Disney completed their acquisition of 21st Century Fox film & TV assets in early 2019, CALL OF THE WILD moved to February 2020. Blue Sky's SPIES IN DISGUISE took its spot.
Could be!
If you remember... At one point, whatever that DreamWorks movie was going to be... RUBY GILLMAN, WILD ROBOT, something else... Would've opened in the fall of 2022... Well before that summer rush.
At one time, DreamWorks' slate had THE BAD GUYS opening in September 2021. That would've been followed by a spring 2022 release of PUSS IN BOOTS 2, and then fall 2022 would've housed an original/non-sequel. Which possibly puts a hole in the "test screening" claims. Maybe another picture was in the works, and then got cancelled.
If I remember correctly, COVID-19 altered that plan, with 2021 only being the year of BOSS BABY 2 and SPIRIT UNTAMED. BAD GUYS moved to April 2022, and booted PUSS IN BOOTS 2 to September 2022. This was when parent distributor Universal was planning to roll out the MARIO movie in Christmas 2022...
... Until they wanted the release of that movie to coincide with the Nintendo theme park opening, so... April 2023, boots the DreamWorks movie set for late March 2023 to June 2023... Which boots Illumination's MIGRATION to Christmas 2023. Dominoes.
And RUBY GILLMAN ended up being the June 2023 Universal animation release... And that was right after a Disney remake of a certain redhead mermaid movie... RUBY GILLMAN, which had been in some form of development since 2016 and probably entered full production by 2021, was kind of a victim of coincidence here. A benign cartoon plot about mermaids being the enemy of krakens (usually, we associate krakens with big scary monsters, while mermaids are often portrayed as non-threatening, simple subversion), used as some sort of anti-LITTLE MERMAID movie. A new weapon in a particular group of dingus' dumbass "culture war". And then you had a weird subset of LITTLE MERMAID remake fans who interpreted the movie - minus some weird rightwing crap - as some sort of jab at Halle Bailey's take on Ariel... The internet is full of embarrassment, isn't it? All that, over a silly movie that just so happened to open close to LITTLE MERMAID.
So yeah, RUBY GILLMAN initially being a streaming movie would definitely fill in the blanks regarding its very weird rollout last summer. DreamWorks/Universal have since announced other movies well before release.

Behold, the king of online cartoons
Ex-Hanna-Barbera whiz Fred Seibert blazing a trail with YouTube network
A couple of times over the years, then-USA Today’s entertainment and tech reporter (and photographer) Jefferson Graham was nice enough to feature me in an article about the cartoons I was producing. First time was in the late 90s with “Oh Yeah! Cartoons,” but in 2015, with streaming video finally reaching the mainstream press (Channel Frederator actually started in 2005) and Graham’s animator son joining our network, he revisited.
Thanks to animator Michael Hilliger, who sent over his copy of the article in 2024.
By Jefferson Graham USA Today July 17, 2015
LOS ANGELES — Fred Seibert wants you to have his card.
And his phone number. He even won't mind if we print his [email protected] e-mail address right here in USA TODAY.
Seibert, 63 is the online toon king, with 400 million views monthly to his Channel Frederator network on YouTube, but he's never sure where his next hit will come from.
So he's always out there looking, at schools, industry gatherings, book signings. You name it.
Next weekend, he'll be at the Vidcon convention near Los Angeles, a gathering of folks who make their living off YouTube, which is where most folks see his online `toons.
"I have no ideas," he says. "But I recognize talent."
That's for sure. Seibert, then president of Hanna-Barbera's cartoon studios in the 1990s, is credited with discovering Seth MacFarlane, the creator of the Family Guy, fresh from college, when he hired him to work on Hanna-Barbera cartoons.
For Seibert's "What a Cartoon!" series for the Cartoon Network, Seibert hit ratings gold, signing up the creators who churned out hits like "The Powerpuff Girls," "Dexter's Laboratory" and "Johnny Bravo." Their series debuted as shorts for first for Seibert's series.
He still serves as executive producer of "The Fairly OddParents," a TV series he began producing in 1998 when it debuted on his "Oh Yeah, Cartoons," series. It's been running ever since on Nickelodeon.
Seibert's biggest audiences, however, have come from online, to the tune of some 1.9 billion views for 'toons like the Bee and PuppyCat and Bravest Warriors.
We had Seibert as a guest on our #TalkingTech podcast in June. At the time, he was averaging 300 million monthly viewers to the Channel Frederator network. Now he's already up to 400 million monthly viewers, and predicts he'll top 700 million by year's end, and 1 billion by 2016.
The reason for the massive growth is that unlike before, when animation was targeted just to young kids, either for Saturday morning TV, and kid-based cartoon TV channels, anyone of all ages can view `toons online.
Seibert's Cartoon Hangover, a Frederator section where he shows the best of his `toons, bills itself as the channel for "cartoons that are too weird, wild, and crazy for television."
“Bee and PuppyCat,” about a young woman with a hybrid dog-cat, is written by Natasha Allegri, a woman in her 20s, about a character in her 20s, and thus, obviously not targeted to the traditional animation crowd.
"No matter what your interest online — whether it be anime, or science fiction or comedy cartoons, there is a place for you," Seibert says. "TV has a tough time supporting the sub-genres. Online is all about sub-genre."
Channel Frederator is what's known as a multi-channel network. Cartoons run on YouTube, but his network promotes them, sells ads and distributes the proceeds to some 2,000 of his video makers.
Through Frederator, the channel makers learn about which color to make their thumbnails to find larger YouTube audiences (he recommends yellow) and which keywords to use in the descriptions ("funny" always works, he says.)
"We give them the tools to grow their performance," he says.
Dominic Panganiban, a 24-year-old animator from Toronto, joined the Frederator network in November, and has seen his subscriber base grow ten times since.
He had been working with Full Screen, another multi-channel network that works with YouTube creators to help them monetize their videos and attract larger audiences.
"Frederator was a better fit, because they cater more towards animation channels," Panganiban says. Because Frederator attracts folks who enjoy cartoons, "I have more potential here."
By being part of the Frederator network, Australian animator Sam Green says he's learned about how to better promote his cartoons, and gotten access to a database of free music and sound effects to use in his cartoons.
He too has seen a spike in traffic.
Being with Seibert "helped me move from my mother's garage to affording my own apartment in the big city," he says.
How did the traffic for both creators go up so dramatically?
Seibert promoted the cartoons to his audience. With 2,000 cartoon makers, that's a lot to choose from. He says he'll plug as many of them as "show an interest" to growing their audience. He looks for people who post new work regularly, stay in touch, and ask "what we can do to help them more."
And despite the massive online audience, Seibert isn't making money yet, and doesn't think he will for another three years.
"Our cartoons are 3-4 minutes long, and the average American watches 6 hours of TV a day," he says. "We have a long way to go to even that out."

Rouge's Style Gallery
This is mostly for the purpose of requesters who want a certain style to refer to! (Thus, I try to get examples from requesters but if they wish they can ask me to remove it from here for any reason) Though, this is also for myself where I want to try expanding the range of what I can do. I'll try to keep this updated over time as well!
This is ordered in complexity and time consumption! IDs are in the alt text as well.
Toon Style
Inspired by cartoons I watched that aired during the 1990s-2000s! I use this for my comic CMGN Off Air as well. I'll try to link to the latest chapter later when I get around to doing that!
Tumblr media
(Dated 6th of July, 2024 - Not requested by anyone)
Lineless
Essentially, art without line work. I say that the time it takes to do lineless art and my usual style is roughly the same actually!
Tumblr media
(Dated 6th of January, 2024 - Requested by @/a-staphaios)
Non-Pixel
This is my usual art style outside of pixel art! I'm comfortable with both traditional and digital art so I included examples of both!
Digital art example:
Tumblr media
(Dated 12th of May, 2024 - Requested by @/basicallyarogermoorestanaccount)
Traditional art example (Also serves to be as an example for fashion design):
Tumblr media
(Dated 18th of May, 2024 - Not requested by anyone)
Pixel Art
Given the nature of the medium, this is the most time consuming for me but it's one of my favorites! I'm a bit selective on these since doing more complex designs is difficult for me in pixel form but I'd be glad to do pixel art stuff in general!
Tumblr media
(Dated 11th of April, 2024 - Requested by Anon)
Rendered - Not available for requests
Due to the sheer amount of time this takes me to complete presently, these aren't available for requests. (Maybe in the future when I've optimized my art process, but it'd be highly selective) However, I do think that it's fun to do rendered styles from time to time!

Despite regularly streaming, her channel didn’t expand much in the first year, but later on, things started to pick up. She already has more than 200,000 followers on the network by 2024.
She streams practically each day of the week now that she is a full-time streamer. She plays video games like Super Mario Odyssey, Wii Sports Resort, Super Mario 64, Clash of Clans, and many more aside from IRL streaming.
